Fujifilm F31fd review at PhotographyBLOG : DIWA member Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBLOG has reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix F31fd digital compact camera. With Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, 6 Megapixel Super CCD HR VI, 2.5 inch LCD screen and unique Fujifilm technologies such as Intelligent Flash, the Fujifilm F31fd is perfect for anyone looking for a camera that will rise to any occasion. The Fujifilm FinePix F31fd camera’s fast response times, 0.01 second shutter lag and 1.5 second start-up time, ensure it will catch all the action and spell the end for missed photo opportunities. The Fujifilm F31fd features a large 2.5 inch, 230,000 pixel LCD screen, which is coated with Fujifilm’s proprietary CV film.

Fujifilm FinePix F31fd - Aberration
According to Mark Goldstein: "The Fujifilm FinePix F31fd produced images of excellent quality during the review period. The 6 Megapixel images are a little soft straight out of the camera and ideally require some further sharpening in an application like Adobe Photoshop. Unfortunately there are no in-camera sharpening options. The Fujifilm FinePix F31fd handled chromatic aberrations quite well, with purple fringing effects appearing in very high contrast situations."
Fujifilm F31fd digital camera - Sensitivity
Mark continues: "The Fujifilm F31fd's most impressive feature in terms of image quality is the extensive and very usable ISO range of 100-3200. I have never reviewed a compact digital camera before that has been able to match the F31fd's ISO performance (excluding its predecessor, the F30). ISO 100-800 is virtually noise-free, whilst ISO 1600 and even 3200 produce acceptable results. This makes the F31fd a great camera for low-light photography without having to resort to using the flash, which in turn can produce more natural results." About PhotographyBLOG
Mark Goldstein started his very active website PhotographyBLOG in January 2003. At first the one and only purpose was to let this site function as one of those popular web logs with Photography as main topic. But as we all know Photography is a pretty big subject to publish about so Mark decided to focus on some hot key points like mentioning all new introductions, reviews, reports from events like PMA and Photokina, sharing some impressive and creative photos and Mark's sole perspective of his feeling about this fascinating world of Digital Imaging. Mark is based in the UK, but his eagle-eye focuses global.
