AdobeAdobe Photoshop Elements Video-Book v5.0 : Andrei Doubrovski, a professional photo restoration artist and technician, has released version 5.0 of video-book "Animated Introduction to Adobe Photoshop Elements". This courseware is intended for users of this "kid brother" of famous Photoshop. To speed-up the learning every tutorial is packed with a short movie showing some practical usage of the wordy lesson. The video-book is available as Windows and Mac packages. (Although the course has been composed for Windows version of Photoshop Elements it is also compatible with Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Mac.) The both versions are offered for $12 US to download (file size is surprisingly small - about 15 Mb) or $24.50 for CD shipping.
Adobe Photoshop Elements Video BookAdobe Photoshop - Video Book
Are you looking for a video course? The 76 embedded clips can be played as a single full-length and full-size movie (total running time about 2 hours). The elaborated controls allow users instant finding a required fragment. In the meantime, the book's interface features all the essential functions available in popular "readers" and web browsers - table of contents, history, bookmarks, text search, etc. Moreover, the conception of video-book combines the advantages of the e-book and video formats. For example, you can use full-text search to find a particular movie episode, and then bookmark it.

Adobe Video Book - Photo editing
Although Photoshop Elements is generally reputed as "amateurish" program, the author propagates the "grown-up" Photoshop's approach to photo editing. The course introduces you to the essential techniques of the program - color and tonal adjustments, layers, transformations, selecting, and masking. (The full version of this book comes to you with a patch uncovering some undocumented masking and selecting functions of your Elements.) Also, the author offers a collection of practical solutions. Real photos are enhanced, retouched, and manipulated for you in real time, showing the most efficient combinations of the discussed methods.
