The Sony DCR-SR190E, a high-range model, has also been upgraded to 40GB HDD capacity from current 30GB, providing space to store up to 28 hours of video. The new Sony SR190E Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Handycam's class-leading storage capacity is complemen- ted by equally impressive battery STAMINA: the new-generation H-Series InfoLITHIUM battery delivers up to 10 hours continuous shooting from a single charge. Optional are three new batteries (NP-FH100, NP-FH70 and NP-FH50).
Sony DCR SR190E - Zoom and Anti shock
Like all other Handycam, the Sony DCR SR190 features Carl Zeiss optics for superlative resolution and colour reproduction. There’s only one chance to capture special moments when they happen, and HDD Handycam adopts a twofold HDD Smart Protection strategy to safeguard against the inadvertent loss of precious pictures. A physical shock absorber protects the drive against physical jarring and bumps during operation, while 3G sensor detects abrupt motion in three dimensions to distinguish accidental drops from other body movements. Video stream buffering also ensures that recording continues smoothly.
Sony SR190 video camera - Handycam station
After shooting, there’s no need to fiddle with cables when you want to store, edit and enjoy the results at home. Supplied with all HDD models, Handycam Station can be linked permanently to a TV via its analogue connector, while the Hi-Speed USB port allows direct digital connection to a PC. It also doubles as a charger, just drop in your Handycam and power up while enjoying your new shots. One-Touch Disc Burn function is now 1.5x faster, allowing an hour’s worth of video to be recorded onto DVD using a connected PC in around 20 minutes.
Sony DCR-SR190E HDD camcorder - CMOS image sensor
The high-end models SR190E features latest-generation ClearVid CMOS Sensor technology for superlative imaging quality. Shooting in low light is also enhanced for all models with a new Auto Slow Shutter mode that automatically boosts minimum illumination performance up to 1.5lux compared with 5 lux on previous models.
Sony SR190E - Clear Photo LCD monitor
The SR190E features high resolution (211k pixels) 2.7-inch Wide Clear Photo LCD plus screen for improved contrast and a colour range that’s approximately 1.6 times wider than conventional Hybrid LCD screens. As a result, it’s significantly easier to focus, frame and review shots accurately in high ambient light conditions, especially outdoors. Additional zoom and recording start/stop buttons are positioned on the frame of the LCD screen on all HDD models for convenient operation when the camcorder is operated at waist level or mounted on a tripod. The Sony DCR-SR190E accepts Memory Stick DUO removable media for still picture recording and offer Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity with a PC for editing and back-up.
