SamsungSamsung pocket LED projector : Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a world-leading manufacturer of professional LCD and plasma display products, introduced its SP-P310MEMX Pocket Imager to the U.S. market at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Pocket Imager will be on display in the Samsung booth, #11033, in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center January 8-10. Weighing a slight 1.5-pounds (without the optional battery), the Pocket Imager features a DLP panel for higher resolution and picture quality, and uses an LED light source for an extended life of approximately 10,000 hours. An optional battery extends the product’s mobility and offers approximately 2.5-hours of life.

Designed with both home and office users in mind, the Pocket Imager can be a convenient solution for mobile business professionals that need the versatility to operate in any environment. Home theater users can benefit with the ability to conveniently use the Pocket Imager in places which would prove cumbersome for corded projectors. For example, by combining the Pocket Imager with a DVD player in a laptop, users can take their viewing experience outdoors.

Samsung LED projector technologies
Samsung plans to continue to lead the development of LED projector technologies. Although the P310 model is Samsung’s first introduction of a Pocket Imager to the U.S. market, the first version of the Pocket Imager, the SP-P300ME model, has been available in overseas markets since 2006, and received a 2006 CES Innovations Honoree Award. Additional specifications include 50 ANSI Lumens, 800 x 600 SVGA resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio for enhanced text and image clarity, 25dB noise level, and extremely tiny dimensions of 5-inches x 3.7-inches x 2-inches.
