Positioned at the high-end of the Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo line-up the new 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo meets the most demanding customer needs. True to its multimedia credentials, the Memory Stick can store a large range of entertainment files, including more than 19 hours of MPEG-4 video for playback on a PSPTM (recorded at 768kbps), approximately 3000 digital photos with 10 Megapixel resolution (in Standard mode setting) or up to 2000 MP3 songs with an average length of 4 minutes (recorded at 128kbps).

Memory Stick PRO Duo flash card - Software
In addition, free file rescue software can be downloaded from sonydigital-link.com/memstick/ enabling quick recovery of photographs and other files which may have been lost or deleted. All Memory Stick PRO Duo media come complete with a standard size Memory Stick adaptor.

Sony 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card - Availability
The 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo will be immediately compatible with all Sony Cybershot, Handycam and VAIO products launched from the beginning of 2007, and with the Sony α100 D-SLR camera. With a software update the Memory Stick will also be compliant with Sony VAIO products launched from the beginning of 2005, all PSPs (with system software ver. 2.81 or later) and Memory Stick Video Recorders. The 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo (MSX-M8GS) will be available from the beginning of February 2007.
