FujifilmFujifilm A800 : Fujifilm is pleased to announce the debut of a new entry-level compact digital camera, the Fujifilm FinePix A800 digital camera in the overseas market, realizing even higher performance in our high quality ‘A‘ series range. For the first time in Fujifilm’s A-series the new Fujifilm A800 features the unique Super CCD and RP (Real Photo) Processor, for delivery of sharp images with minimal noise. The Fujifilm FinePix A800 features 8.3 Megapixels and incorporates light sensitivities up to ISO800 at full resolution for 'natural light' photos and less blur images. The new Fujifilm FinePix A800 digital compact camera will appeal to first time buyers looking for outstanding performance at an affordable price.

The FinePix A800 features Fujifilm’s “Intelligent Flash” technology, which measures the size and position of the subject and sets flash power output and exposure level accordingly. Intelligent Flash delivers natural looking images without the ‘washed out’ effect that can be the result of traditional on-camera flash. The Fujifilm FinePix A800 digital compact photo camera features 14 scene position modes. Prices will be made available near the sales date off March 2007.

For the Fujifilm A800, several shooting modes will help users to take the best pictures in every situation. For example, 'Baby mode' reproduces skin tones accurately and “Picture Stabilization mode” enables the camera to enhance its shutter speed for with less blur photos. The Fujifilm FinePix A800 features a newly designed mode dial, enabling users to quickly select scene position modes with their thumb.

Ease of use is key to the design of the Fujifilm A800, with a simple button layout that makes the cameras ideal for first time users. Framing photographs is made easy with a large 2.5-inch LCD monitor with an anti-reflective coating to prevent glare when shooting in daylight. The Fujifilm A800 camera is powered by two AA-size batteries, which are readily available around the world. In a first for Fujifilm’s compact digital camera range, the Fujifilm FinePix A800 features a xD/SD compatible slot which accepts Fujifilm’s traditional xD-Picture Cards, but also Secure Digital (SD) cards.
