FujifilmFujifilm Photo Pickup at Walgreens : Walgreen Co. has teamed with Fujifilm USA, Inc. to make in-store pickup of digital photos even more convenient. Consumers can now order photos for in-store pickup at more than 5,500 Walgreens locations nationwide utilizing Fujifilm’s “Get The Picture Online Service” network. Photos can be picked up at any Walgreens location starting at just 19 cents per print. More than 1,500 Walgreens stores are open 24 hours and offer this photo service around the clock. Fujifilm’s network of “Get the Picture Online Service” partners includes Cingular, ALLTEL, Sprint (Nextel) Photoshare Service, Sprint Picture Mail Service, MSN communities, Microsoft XP Online Print Wizard, Microsoft Digital Image Library.

By adding Walgreens to this network, customers of all these services will be able to print digital photos from their computer or mobile handset at any Walgreens store. “Digital photo customers across the country can get the convenience of in-store pickup at Walgreens, with the quality of prints associated with the Fujifilm name,” said Dean Jarrett, Walgreens divisional merchandise manager for new business technology. “For example, a child’s birthday party photos sent through one of Fujifilm’s partners from Chicago can be picked up the same day by the grandparents in Florida at their local Walgreens.”

“Consumers are embracing picture-taking, from both cameras and camera phones, as a part of their lifestyle and want convenient ways to create prints from these captured memories,” said Hiro Sakai, senior executive vice president and general manager for the Imaging Group of Fujifilm USA, Inc. “We are very pleased to include Walgreens as part of our growing network of partners that are committed to making digital photo printing simple for consumers.”
