Fujifilm FinePix F20 review at PhotographyBLOG : DIWA member Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBLOG has reviewed the Fujifilm F20 digital compact camera. The Fujifilm FinePix F20 features Fujifilm's 6th generation 6.3 Megapixel Super CCD, Real Photo Processor II and ISO 100 - 2000 sensitivity. For flash photography, the Fujifilm FinePix F20’s iFlash (intelligent flash) system automatically sets power output and exposure for balanced results, combining natural foreground illumination with optimum background exposure. Its innovative ‘Natural Light & Flash’ Dual Shot mode takes two shots in quick succession; one with flash, and one without, then displays them side-by-side for on-the-spot comparison.

Fujifilm F20 - Colour & Contrast
According to Mark Goldstein: "Colours are by default a little cool straight out of the camera, and I often find myself preferring the more vivid results obtainable by activating the chrome colour setting in ‘F’ mode. The colour cast effect of tungsten lighting is also best removed via an application of Levels in Photoshop. Though the Fujifim F20 displays the common problem of purple fringing evidenced between areas of high contrast, this is no worse than its immediate competitors and only starts to become apparent when viewing the images at 100%."
Fujifilm FinePix F20 camera - Sensitivity
Mark continues: "In terms of ISO performance, low light shots without flash start to visibly soften at ISO1600 when viewed at 100% (the effect nearer to a watercolour than a photo). Obviously at full ISO2000 this is more pronounced. Then again, if you don't intend to churn out poster-sized hard copies it’s a trade off (against not getting the shot at all) I’d be happy to live with. Arguably, if you are taking portraiture, some smoothing of detail is not necessarily a bad thing." You want to learn more about the Fujifilm FinePix digital camera? About PhotographyBLOG
Mark Goldstein started his very active website PhotographyBLOG in January 2003. At first the one and only purpose was to let this site function as one of those popular web logs with Photography as main topic. But as we all know Photography is a pretty big subject to publish about so Mark decided to focus on some hot key points like mentioning all new introductions, reviews, reports from events like PMA and Photokina, sharing some impressive and creative photos and Mark's sole perspective of his feeling about this fascinating world of Digital Imaging. Mark is based in the UK, but his eagle-eye focuses global.
