NokiaNokia at CES 2007 : The Consumer Electronics Association announced that Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, president and CEO of Nokia Corp., will deliver an Industry Insider address at the 2007 International CES. Produced by CEA, the 2007 International CES will run January 8-11, 2007, in Las Vegas and will celebrate the show's 40th anniversary. Kallasvuo will kick off the 2007 International CES Industry Insiders Series with an address slated for the first day of the show, Monday, the new home to the entire Industry Insiders Series. "Under Kallasvuo's direction, Nokia has evolved into a world leader in mobile communications, connecting people together with content and technology," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA.

Nokia equipment - Business operations
Nokia provides equipment, solutions and services for network operators and corporations. Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo was named president and CEO of Nokia Corp. in June 2006, after having held numerous roles upon joining the organization in 1980. Kallasvuo was appointed to executive vice president and chief financial officer in 1992 and was later made corporate executive vice president, Nokia Americas, a position responsible for all Nokia's operations in the Americas.

Upon his return to Finland, Kallasvuo was again made chief financial officer in 1999 and named executive vice president and general manager of mobile phones in 2004. On October 1, 2005 he was named president and COO before his appointment to his current position. Kallasvuo joins Cisco President and CEO, John Chambers, as a confirmed 2007 Industry Insider speaker. Chambers address is slated for Tuesday, January 9 at 11 a.m., in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater.
