Samsung NV10 review at PhotographyBLOG : DIWA member Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBLOG has reviewed the Samsung NV10 digital compact camera. The Samsung NV10 camera includes a Schneider 3x optical zoom lens (35-105mm equiv.), a 5x digital zoom and a 2.5-inch color LCD display. The Samsung NV10 can record in VGA (640x480) at 30fps, for a larger view of the movie on LCD and TV screens. The Samsung NV10 also includes a movie stabilizer function that automatically detects and corrects minor lateral and vertical camera movement. For additional control, the continuous video recording function allows the user to pause and resume video recording at any time, while the built-in movie editing function allows users to edit video in-camera.

Samsung NV10 review - ISO and Noise
According to Mark Goldstein: "The night photograph was OK, with the maximum shutter speed of 15 seconds allowing you to capture enough light for most situations, but the resulting images were quite noisy. Macro performance is above average, allowing you to focus as close as 4cms away from the subject at the wide-angle lens setting. Advanced Shake Reduction is a feature that promises to set this camera apart from its competitors, but unfortunately it seems to be little more than an automated way of increasing the ISO speed."
Samsung NV10 digital camera - Anti shake
Mark continues: "The Samsung NV10 really does look and feel different to most other cameras out there. Sadly, although the NV10 offers a truly unique user experience, the images that it produces do not match the high quality of the rest of the camera. High levels of noise at ISO 200 and faster is the main problem, but the NV10 also suffers from obvious purple fringing and a very limited anti-shake mode. It's a real shame, as the NV10 is otherwise a joy to use." You want to learn more about the Samsung digital compact camera? Continue to read the Samsung NV10 review at PhotographyBLOG.
About PhotographyBLOG
Mark Goldstein started his very active website PhotographyBLOG in January 2003. At first the one and only purpose was to let this site function as one of those popular web logs with Photography as main topic. But as we all know Photography is a pretty big subject to publish about so Mark decided to focus on some hot key points like mentioning all new introductions, reviews, reports from events like PMA and Photokina, sharing some impressive and creative photos and Mark's sole perspective of his feeling about this fascinating world of Digital Imaging. Mark is based in the UK, but his eagle-eye focuses global.
