SonySony UPX-C100 professional print system : Sony launched the UPX-C100, a professional digital printing system for retailers that want to enter the profitable passport/ID photo market without an excessive up-front cost. This latest addition to Sony’s ID photo solution line-up which already includes the Sony UPX-C200, underlines Sony’s commitment to providing businesses with simple and effective solutions for entering the ID photo business. The Sony UPX-C100 print system consists of a digital photo printer that reproduces photo-quality prints and a digital still camera, which connect to each other via a USB cable. The Sony UPX-C100 professional print system will be available from October 2006.

High quality, versatile and simple to use
The Sony UPX-C100 produces sharp, high-resolution, 5 megapixel, images of exceptional quality on three separately sized print media1 allowing users to create various types of printout, including a combination of 30 different picture sizes. It incorporates modern instant printing technology, dye sublimation, to produce photo-quality prints that offer crisp and vibrant colours with natural, continuous tones.

This innovative feature saves time because, unlike most other digital systems, users do not have to switch from Camera Mode to Play Mode to review and print photos.
