CESCES 2007 CES : To highlight the fact that today’s consumers want to be entertained and informed when and where they want, the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) announced a new Anytime-Anywhere TechArena at Innovations Plus at the Sands. Produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the 2007 International CES is the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow and will be held in Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2007. The Anytime-Anywhere TechArena is sponsored by Sling Media, makers of the Slingbox, a device that let’s you watch your home TV from anywhere. This TechArena will feature content shifting technology companies as well as The Download TechZone, ExpressCard TechZone, IPTV TechZone and Podcasting TechZone.

“The Anytime-Anywhere TechArena will showcase companies who are bringing these content-shifting technologies to today’s consumers,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA. “Sling Media is a prime example of a company pushing the boundaries of on-demand media availability by giving consumers greater flexibility in how and where they view their personal entertainment content, including their home TV. This is such a hot and growing trend that this TechArena is sure to be a can’t-miss destination at this year’s show.”

2007 International CES
More than 2,900 content industry professionals attend the International CES to see the newest digital technologies. The 2007 International CES will feature the hottest product debuts from 2,700 exhibitors, covering more than 30 product areas, including the latest in content and entertainment, wireless, digital imaging, mobile electronics, home networking and more.
