HPHP empowers professional photographers : Professional photographers depend on their equipment, and that doesn’t just mean the camera that captures the image. Ultimately, photographers need to sell their photographs, and image reproduction has to be absolutely the best possible. Professionals need to know that the photo they imagined will be the photo that is actually printed. HP photo printers for photography and graphics professionals are designed especially around industry best-practice working methods. Advanced inkjet technology can inspire them to explore their creativity while increasing their productivity and reducing their costs - while, of course, helping them to realise their vision.
HP empowers professional photographersHP Designjet Photo Printer
HP has listened to what professional photographers really want with the HP Designjet Z2100 and Z3100 Photo Printers. These printers are designed for professional photographers, digital fine-artists, proofing professionals and graphic designers who need the latest HP inkjet technologies for sellable museum-quality photographs, fine art prints and concept or contract proofs, but also require comprehensive colour control performed in a easy-to-use way, along with freedom to use a wide range of creative media at overall low running costs.

Colour accuracy and consistency
One of the biggest problems for graphics professionals is achieving colours right on target consistently print after print, across various media and from printer to printer. The HP Designjet Z2100 and Z3100 come with the first ever embedded HP spectrophotometer with i1 Colour Technology to make colours incredibly consistent in many ways. This radical redefinition and simplification of colour workflow saves professionals time and effort, and more importantly prevents costly surprises.

X-Rite i1 Colour Technology
The embedded spectrophotometer, with X-Rite i1 Colour Technology, revolutionises professional colour workflows by automating media profiling. Mounted on the printhead carriage, it allows the printers to generate custom RGB ICC profiles for preferred media in a couple of minutes.

HP Colour Calibration
HP Advanced Closed-Loop Colour Calibration guarantees repeatability of accurate colours print-to-print and printer-to-printer whatever the media. The system uses a colour test pattern to make precision measurements so that the printer always achieves the best result for the media.

HP Vivera inks - 8 or 12 ink solution
The HP Designjet Z2100 comes with eight HP Vivera pigment inks, making it perfect for graphic designers and photographers who need high quality, large-format prints and concept or contract proofs. The HP Designjet Z3100 comes with 12-inks, including 4 black inks for museum-quality prints. The 8-ink system delivers wide colour gamut that comfortably covers all common commerical printing standards, like ISO, FOGRA or SWOP, truly neutral grey tones under various lighting conditions and grain-free transitions that preserve high levels of detail even in very light tones. The 12 inks have been engineered to meet the needs of the most demanding professional photographers. Thanks to unique HP Gloss Enhancer they delivers excellent gloss uniformity across the whole tonal range, eliminating bronzing and enabling true black-and-white printing performed with 4 black inks to avoid metamerism - and all this on glossy, semi-gloss and satin media without lamination.

HP Designjet Z3100
The HP Designjet Z3100 comes with seven colours, four blacks and the HP Gloss Enhancer for glossy and semi-glossy media. These inks deliver an exceptionally broad colour gamut for photographic and graphic arts applications, superb neutral tones and outstanding black optical density on matte fine art as well as glossy and semi-glossy photo papers.

HP Vivera inks
HP Vivera Pigment inks offer an unmatched combination of outstanding image quality and exceptional light fade resistance. Designed together as a system, prints produced with original HP Vivera Pigment Inks on a range of HP creative and speciality media are water resistant and resist fading for over 200 years.

Media flexibility - Photo papers
Photographers have a wide choice of media with these advanced printers. HP offers a broad portfolio of photo papers, four new canvases, ten digital fine art papers, three proofing papers, a variety of bond and coated papers as well as a range of banner and technical materials completing the portfolio - and these are all commercially available. These have been tested with HP Vivera pigment inks to deliver a reliable printing experience, with excellent print quality, long-lasting images, maximum productivity, and workflow flexibility. The HP Desigjet Z2100 and Z3100 printers support paper thickness of up to 0.8mm and weight of up to 500 g/m2 with cut-sheet and roll-feed options.

HP Photosmart Pro B9180 A3+ Photo Printer
The HP Photosmart Pro B9180 printer has been confirmed as the best A3+ photo printer in Europe with a prestigious Technical Imaging Press Association (TIPA) Award in 2006. The printer gives professional photographers and advanced amateurs outstanding prints at A3+ size, or can quickly provide proofs at a quality that allows professionals to choose which to exhibit or sell.

Leading image quality with HP Vivera Inks
The eight, individual, high-capacity HP 38 Pigment Ink Cartridges, with HP Vivera inks, deliver durable life-like colour for professional portraits, landscapes, proofing and fine art prints. These inks produce long-lasting colour, resisting fading for up to 200 years. The new cartridges have been engineered to deliver consistent results with the HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Photo Printer.

Photo black for high contrast black
HP’s third generation grey ink creates colour as well as black and white prints with smooth transitions from one shade to the next, and subtle neutral tones that are consistent and controlled. Photographers can select from the two types of black inks: photo black for high contrast black and white photos with deep, rich blacks, or matt black for printing onto HP’s range of fine art papers.

Professional quality papers
For photographers without large format printing facilities, producing A3+ prints that meet professional requirements is a challenge. Industry leading HP Advanced Photo Paper solves this problem. Featuring retail quality finishes, in glossy and satin-matt, customers will appreciate the durability of the thick, heavy paper. The paper’s instant dry porous coating allows immediate handling without smudging, helping to create a more productive and efficient studio. Additionally, new A3+ HP digital fine art papers, based on HP’s professional large format media range, provide photographers with the materials needed to display their work in a gallery.

Professional performance and versatility
The HP Photosmart Pro B9180 A3+ Photo Printer delivers ICC profiling options for perfect colour reproduction on a variety of standard and specialised media. Photographers can immediately print their photos and proofs with HP's fast, professional printing technology, and no longer have to rely on a photo lab. Proofs can be printed in less than two minutes for A3+ prints and less than ten seconds for 10x15cm prints, a new speed benchmark.
