ExpoDisc Expo Aperture 2 depth of field guide : ExpoImaging, developer of camera accessories, including the ExpoDisc Digital White Balance Filter, today at Photokina announced the new ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide, a pocket-sized circular calculator that enables photographers to determine the depth-of-field for a given focal length, aperture size, and sensor or film format. The ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide has been improved to easily compensate for a camera's sensor or film size and to simplify its use over a wider range of focal lengths. The ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide is printed front and back on three tough circular plastic discs that rotate against one another, functioning as a compact mechanical calculator.

A photographer using the ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide selects the camera's sensor or film size and desired focal length for a given shot. The Guide quickly and accurately provides the precise depth-of-field for a given aperture, or, alternatively, can determine the aperture necessary to achieve a desired depth-of-field. "The previous version of our Depth-of-Field Guide has been very well-received by even the most demanding and critical photographers," said Erik Sowder, ExpoImaging, Inc. President. "Now the new ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide is even simpler to use in a wider variety of shooting situations. The latest version of the Guide is also better optimized for the wide range of sensor and film sizes available to today's photographers.

ExpoAperture2 Depth of Field
"The Depth-of-Field Guide enables photographers with precise demands to gain creative control over their shots. In addition, ExpoAperture's unique presentation of depth-of-field solutions also makes it an invaluable educational tool," Sowder added. The versatile new ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide is intended for the educational, hobbyist and professional markets. The ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide is compatible with all film and digital SLR cameras and includes detailed instructions. The product will be available for worldwide distribution shortly.
