SamsungSamsung sponsors NFL football exhibition : Samsung Electronics America, a world leader in consumer electronics is celebrating its second year of sponsorship with the NFL with an Samsung/NFL football game on Sept. 6, 2006. As part of the Official NFL 2006 Kick-off event, the flag football exhibition will showcase some of the NFL's greatest former players including: Hall of Famer Marcus Allen formerly of the Oakland Raiders, 1990's All-Decade Team and Minnesota Vikings receiver Cris Carter, the pride of the New York Jets Wayne Chrebet, three time Pro-Bowler Mark "Super" Duper and Pro-Bowler and Atlanta Falcons 1990s standout Jamal Anderson. These popular veterans will be divided into two teams with members of the South Florida media.

John Revie, vice president, marketing visual display division, Samsung Electronics America, Inc., said, "Samsung is very excited to celebrate its second year as the Official HDTV of the NFL with a fun event for football fans visiting the 2006 NFL Kickoff events in South Florida this year. This event is another in a long line of initiatives demonstrating the partnership strength with the league, its players, our charitable foundations and our products." The event will feature players and celebrities alike, playing a flag football game. During halftime, two fans will be chosen to compete in the Samsung Lucky Fan Skills Event to win the Samsung YP-K5 digital audio player.
