PentaxPentax SLR test drive : Pentax Imaging Company has launched a test drive A Pentax program to introduce consumers to the manufacturer's new K Series digital SLR camera line. From now until December 31, 2006, any customer who visits a participating dealer and test drives a Pentax K Series camera becomes eligible to win the Grand Prize 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. A Pentax test drive consists of visiting a participating retailer and asking for a hands-on demonstration of any Pentax K Series camera or viewing a product video online at the Pentax website. "The DSLR marketplace is extremely competitive, and we want the new Pentax DLSR line to be given the recognition it deserves," said Ned Bunnell, marketing director, Pentax Imaging Company.

"We believe that given the opportunity to handle our K series cameras, consumers will be pleasantly surprised by the ergonomics and overall performance of the models and will seriously consider Pentax in their purchase decision." Current Pentax K Series cameras include the K100D and K110D digital SLRs. The Pentax K100D combines 6.1 effective megapixels with a host of advanced technologies including a Shake Reduction system to deliver high-quality photography and user-friendly operation to all levels of photographers.

Pentax K100D and K110D - Lenses
The entry-level Pentax K110D camera offers all of the features of the K100D with the exception of Shake Reduction. Both models reflect a newer naming system that references the reverse compatibility that each body has with the legacy of 24 million Pentax K-mount lenses. Any additional Pentax K series camera announced during the promotion timeframe also will be eligible for the test drive.
